What is Understanding?
Understanding simply means going under to know what makes something to stand.
What actually made #AnthonyJoshua stood/won the rematch?
It was because he understood something. He understood that success is not final, and failure is not fatal. On his defeat to Ruiz in June, he humbly acknowledged he lost due to shortfalls he himself admitted to and has since then been preparing for a resurgence. His defeat exposed his lacuna, and he consistently practiced to remedy it that he was so sure he would have his revenge. A duel won as promised is not a fluke: it is a product of determination, hard work & expectation.
Then why are you contemplating giving up on your first defeat? You need to understand that failure is not a death sentence. Someone said if you're not failing that shows you're not even trying. In life, you will fail at something. And understand that you are not a failure when you fail to meet an expectation, you have only discovered the way the expectation won't work out. You become a failure when you fail to try again, again, & again.
You also need to understand that success is not final. It is not an event but a lifestyle, it is a journey, not a destination. You don't have to feel complacent and rest on your oars on the attainment of a height. Attaining success is hard work. Maintaining it is a harder work. Not coming down to square one from your success height is the hardest work. More work is needed to sustain success & get more success. So "Don't take rest after your first victory, because if you fail in second, more lips are waiting to say that your first victory was just luck". Aren't people saying Ruiz's victory was just luck?
