Compare Ye Not
Abstain from comparing yourself to others, especially those of you who are egged to do this using other's social media persona as the yardstick. Real-life starts when you know who you are, and what you are capable of doing.
Let me shock you.
Like Dave Ramsey said, most of the people you envy in the social space buy things they don't need, with money they don't have, to impress people they don't like. So appearance is not always reality. Don't let anyone subject you to any pressure. You're doing just well.
The finish line is there, but every runner starts from different spots; some way behind, some just need a few steps to reach the final line. It's not wisdom to compare your beginnings to someone else’s middle.
You don't know everyone's story. Some ere encouraged and were invested in the best schools to follow their dreams, others had to worry if they had enough food to eat and not die of starvation. Only compare yourself with who you were, it is the one you know. The only person you should try to be better than is who you were yesterday.
Appreciate what you have now and who you are. Don't let go of hope. Hope is being able to see that there is light despite all the darkness. Constantly work on yourself and in your space alone to see the miracle happen.
Be wise. "Be yourself; everyone else is already taken.” – Oscar Wilde
"..when they measure themselves by themselves and compare themselves with themselves, they are not wise" II Cor. 10:12.
