 I have always maintained that we live in a "fast n furious" generation where patience is becoming less and less of a virtue. Today you see a 20-year-old guy who thinks not having a Rolls Royce at that age is a failure.  Young adults now long for quick fixes to bypass what they see as challenges. They are willing to fight tooth and nail to get money, cars, fame, etc. Just yesterday, we were greeted by the news of a 21-year-old 300 level UNILAG student who killed a CEO just because of what? Over money? A yearning to belong? She even went ahead after killing him to withdraw cash using the victim's ATM card.  For goodness sake, what does a 21-year-old lady want with a sugar daddy? I have done a lot of wrongdoings to myself and I have been mad at myself for too long😫. I ridiculed myself by belittling my drive to succeed, I compared my dignity to lust, I looked down at my smartness because the world told me I don't deserve the best😭, I even slammed the door at my will for excellence, I condemned my beauty and neglected my will to standout, I gave up on myself at the slightest challenge I failed to defeat, I shut my heart to love because people neglected my pure feelings of love😩. It was very easy; his failed attempts even made his success story more intriguing. Ever have I seen people who delight in showing their humble beginnings; how they hawked, worked, hustled, and toiled their way to breakthrough. Those pictures tell it all. People will only remember your home runs when you become a success. I remember being in a relationship with this amazing young woman. My love for her was such that when she told me she wasn't willing to marry a pastor, I was ready to jettison my calling for her! One beautiful morning a call to my mobile phone awakened me. It was from this amazing lady. The call was to the effect that she would like to quit the relationship. The only thing I requested was the return of my engagement ring. I'll like you to know that people walking away from your life can also constitute a favour too just as people can also walk into your life with opportunities and open doors.
